Happy 5 years and 18 months!

April was a fun month for the Bell family:

"Chopsticks" anyone?

April 9th was Amber's "18 month-birthday". She is now officially in nursery and loving it. She also loves going for walks (mostly she just takes off on her own whenever we're outside), enjoys Story Time at our local library and has added a Spanish word to her vocabulary : Gracias =) (although it sounds more like "Grashiash" because she usually says the word with her binky in her mouth).

April 12th was our 5th wedding anniversary. 5 years, where has the time gone? I still remember the spring of 2002, when I developed a little crush on Andrew, and I thought (as usual) nothing would ever come of it. Unbeknownst to me, he kind of liked me and wanted to ask me out, but he seemed to get distracted a few times along the way...

Anyway, last month, Andrew's mom came up from Rupert (ID) and stayed with Amber so Andrew and I could get away. We drove all the way to...Eagle, Idaho (all of 8.32 miles, according to Mapquest), enjoyed a couple of days at the Hilton hotel there and a wonderful meal at our favorite sushi/hibachi restaurant.

I know I haven't blogged in almost a month, so you'll probably see more posts in the coming days...

I've been tagged!

Joanne tagged me over a week ago, and just now have I had a chance to sit down and do my part in tagging a few other people...

Here are the rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book (at least 123 pages).
2. Turn to page 123.
3. Find the 5th sentence
4. Post the 5th sentence on your blog
5. Tag 5 people

I have several books in a nearby shelf, so I picked a favorite of mine, Lucky Man by Michael J. Fox. Part of the reason I chose this book for the tag was that the 5th sentence of the 123rd page mentions one of my favorite songs. Here it is:

"My own musical tastes ran more to The Clash-- maybe Elvis Costello in my more moody, reflective periods-- so I couldn't imagine what exactly Sweet Baby James could say to me that would have any significant personal relevance."

I tag : Amelia, Lauralee, Deah, Megan and Kristen

I never get tired of listening to that song (who does?). Here it is one more time....
